About

Brenda Serrano (she/her/ella) is an adventure photographer, outdoor guide, educator, and writer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born and raised under the Sangre de Cristo Mountains with Guatemalan and Mexican roots, her work is shaped by a deep love for land, storytelling, and community.
She holds a B.A. in Psychology, a foundation that continues to inform how she sees and connects with the world — always curious about what lives beneath the surface of people, places, and feelings. Her writing explores themes of memory, identity, and quiet transformation, often paralleling the intention behind her photography and community work.
Brenda works across New Mexico and the Southwest, supporting outdoor access and equity, especially for youth and communities of color. Whether she’s documenting moments with a camera, guiding folks through nature, or creating space for conversation, she brings care, presence, and cultural awareness to everything she does.
